KAIPING DIAOLOU VILLAGES.
These stunning fortified villages are masterpieces of rural South Chinese architecture. Four village clusters were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Narrow paths lead through deep forests, around creeks and lakes, connecting tower-like houses.

Mt. Fuji. This mount regarded by most of Japanese people as height of perfection and is in indeed stunning, especially if approached from the sleepy countryside.

Wakanai is one of my favorite places on earth, especially during the winter. Tremendous waves battering snow-covered coast, snow storms, glimpses of Russian Sakhalin island. Food is excellent and so are the vistas. It feels like the end of the
world, but so cozy and homey. One of my favorite activities in life: soaking in mineral hot springs (onsen) while observing - behind the window - enormity and brutality of nature; the sea crashing against white shore.
