Covering bizarre war between Sulu Sultanate and Malaysian state at Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia. Sulu warriors invaded Sabah, demanding its return to the island Sultanate which is now part of Philippines. Malaysia responded with air-force strikes and deployment of troops. Tens of thousands of Philippine workers, legal and illegal, were forced to hiding.

Mauritius is the wealthiest country in Africa, and in many ways a true socialist state. People who were taken from Indian sub-continent by British colonialists mainly inhabit it. It is country admired by Stiglitz. Not only hedonistic paradise for upper end tourism, Mauritius is an IT hub, important textile industry center, as well as producer of excellent rum and sugar. Here, education and medical care are free and public spaces plentiful.

Kampala and Luzira March 10-13 2013.

Few days in Kampala and surrounding area, notably at interior of notorious prison of Luzira. I discussed future of Uganda with several leaders of Ugandan opposition. Encounters left mixed feelings 'in my mouth'. I managed to visit some detained opposition figures in Luzira prison.

Harare, Zimbabwe, March 7-9 2013.

Clearly one of the loveliest cities in Africa, the capital of the country with the highest literacy rate on the
continent and some of the lowest crime rates. Harare may be a great city full of culture and public spaces, but the West decided to combat it by all means, unleashing vitriolic propaganda, designating it 'the least livable city on earth'. My reports are designed to give Harare a boost.

Kenyans are voting, but does it really matter who wins? Is anyone representing the common people? The
country is now launching pad for the West - to Somalia, South Sudan and elsewhere.
