Re: "How should we write and fight" in CounterPunch
I share your (dispair?) regarding the efficacy of standard rational commentary. It is undoubtedly true that facts alone do not move critical masses when talking in terms of actionable activity. But I am equally suspicious of the power of poetry/art to accomplish what is needed, and in such a short span of time, in order to save humanity, much less life as we know it on this planet.
It would seem to me that the only thing that could even conceivably have meaningful success would be plain "Common Sense" type rational commentary that is geared UNRELENTINGLY to the obvious self interest of those who must be persuaded. That is, the modern equivalent of brazen POLITICAL pamphleteering ala Thomas Paine. I.e., something like Green Party / Ralph Nader writ large, but much more effective. How this could be done is beyond my ken, but on first principles seems to be absolutely necessary. I would welcome dialogue directed towards accomplishing same in a REALIST and urgent manner.
Mr Vltchek-MD17,you mentioned cowing and punishing Malaysia,I beleive you are correct, but please remember-They have the only finctioning judiciary in the world. In that they can and have procecuted G.W. Bush and T. Blair for warcrimes. As other courts are required to do- but Don't. I would therefore expect anyone wishing to actually deternine what happened to exaimine H.R. Clinton very closely-It fits how she operates, for decades.
