I spoke at prestigious Whitehead Conference in Southern California. It took me almost 2 days to get there, flying from Johannesburg to Doha, then 16 hours to Dallas, and finally to Ontario, California. It was surreal. I came to present, to show what is Empire doing to people in Africa.. I showed clips from my films made for South American TeleSur and for PressTV. But I was asked " not to show too graphic images, as people on the US are sensitive!" I felt sick in California, psychologically and physically. It is truly ill country... I could not write there. I met comrades like Michael Parenti, but they were depressed there as well. I spoke in San Jose, Monterrey and Fresno, but crowds were consisting of old people; no passion. Really no passion. "Why are you telling us all that?" I heard once. I snapped back: "So you stop murdering millions all over the world by your cowardice and complacency". I left US delirious, happy. I left for Latin America, to the continent where live mi gente - my people. To the continent where socialism won. Viva la revolucion! Up to ass with the Empire!

everyone has become highly individualized,self-centred--quite unconcerned about what happens to others.

Thanks for your response. Humankind will again be doomed, if we disconnect and lose touch with our inner selves. Going through a particularly degenerate phase over many decades now, a wise friend of mine said, while some appreciate all the wonderful gifts they were blessed with, how few today even want to get to know the Giver? Not as in an hour in a church one Sunday a month-- but to actually daily follow the practice of ancient and modern sages-- by sitting on one's butt in solitude and practising to concentrate the attention within-- slowly quietening the mind of all thought--and therewith progressively collecting the life forces at the seat of the soul, slightly above and between the eyes-- not concentrating on a physical organ or point but a spiritual centre. Even a five year old can do it-- it has nothing to do with religion, as all of us were born with the tools to find our way back to the one and only Great Spirit or Supreme Being.

Thank you for all your works; it's simply impressive. I'm french and i'm ashamed of the actual policy of my country who is now nothing more that a lackey of the nwo. My father was from britanny; he learned french at school and at that time, (before the wwII) speacking breton language was prohibited (the french integrist laïcity)... The diversity is essential; the memory too.

I like Parenti's writing, also his son has written a very good book. You are right though. People here just do not care. Their concern is to maintain living standards. People say, "what can we do? Nothing.".

Have just read archipelago of fear. Have been teaching and living in Jakarta for a few years and it's incredibly real, upsetting, vindicating and strangely affirming to read. Have been a believer in the 'change the world one individual at a time' idea, thinking that kids can be affected through good teaching in such a manner as may encourage them to rethink their role in this society, but reading this you see the problems are so overwhelmingly entrenched in the way the society functions, even to try to work from within the education system here perpetuates the issues. Often the sign of a great book is one that tells you something you feel like you already knew. Thanks for this, it's helped me make an overdue decision.
