Bukavu - Lake Kivu. I drove to Western Rwanda and entered Congo/DRC from Cyangugu. Just crossed the bridge underwent usual intimidation and demands for bribes from Congolese officials, but prevailed end entered. As Goma (see images from Goma in this website), Bukavu is one of the most traumatized and dangerous places on earth. This is where mass rapes took place throughout the last decades. In 2004, Rwandan-backed RCD forces led by General Nkunda entered the town and raped about 16,000 women on a single weekend after General Nkunda told his troops "This city is yours for three days”.
