March 1-25 My attempt to live healthy life and fully recover from Surabaya physical and emotional poisons continued in Thailand. Chiang Rai and poor hill tribes, where people until recently had no rights, no citizenship, no ID! Only Thaksin Shinawatra gave them access to jobs, education and medical care: Evil defeated anti-Communist Chinese army escaped to Taiwan. But small fraction settled in Thailand where it was offered a deal by both rulers and the West: butcher both Communists and leftists all over Thailand, and we get you all Thai citizenship. The accepted: Burmese border: Karaoke drunken boat in Chiang Rai: Monks here are always above other people, even in cramped waiting rooms at the airports: Thai art in Bangkok: India February 15-March 1, 2016 I basically disappeared in Southern Kerala, India, and began my slow recovery process. While still working, of course. The biggest single cooking event in the world: Tens of thousands of Kerala women offering their food along the roads, to gods. But anyone can come and taste. Near Trivandrum. Western Gads - world heritage site. Lungs of southern India: Temple festivals around Verkala: Kerala will soon vote the Communist Party back. Apology to my followers! For more than half a year my travel blog was not updated. After being poisoned in Surabaya, Indonesia, almost 2 years ago (both physically and mentally), my health was broken to pieces. Of course the accumulated stress and exhaustion from war and conflict zones did not help. Most likely I came very close to absolute collapse, perhaps death. I realized it last year, working in Kazakhstan, in the middle of cold bitter winter. I was supposed to fly next day from Astana to Moscow, and from there to Russian Far East - to Vladivostok. But suddenly I could hardly move! I cancelled all my plans, and flew through Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to Bangkok, beginning my struggle for survival. From now on, I will be updating this blog regularly. But also let me do here a short retrospect, a medley of what took place since the last update: Despite my "collapse", I never really gave up. I continued working in countless war and conflict zones, from Lebanon to Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, horrid refugee camps at Kos in Greece and Calais in France. I went to Ecuador to give support to our Revolution, to Brazilian Amazonian jungle to speak to people about great changes implemented under the PT government, to ruined post-coup Paraguay. In Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos I also revisited atrocities committed during the Vietnam War by the West. I worked in Iran. I also circled the world, giving speeches and revolutionary as well as philosophical talks. Just to mention the most important ones, I was asked to speak right after the President of Iran in Teheran. I gave talks at China Academy of Social Sciences (right hand of the Communist Party of China) in Beijing, at Moscow Municipality in Russia, at Beihang University in Beijing. Finally, I was asked to give a speech at the Chamber of Deputies at the Italian Parliament, where I delivered accusatory discourse, declaring that the entire European continent is built on loot and corpses of colonized people all over the world. This is just a brief summary of my journeys in the last few months. Thank you all for your patience and moral support! A.V. |
